SAN DIEGO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Nikkiso America, a division of Nikkiso Co. LTD. (TOKYO: 6376JP), has supported Atlantic Dialysis Management Services (ADMS) with the first patient treatments using the DBB-06 Dialysis System in the U.S., at Atlantic’s Central Park Dialysis Clinic in New York. ADMS is the seventh largest provider of hemodialysis in the U.S. and owns and operates 13 clinics for over 2,400 patients in the New York City area. The DBB-06 System also incorporates the use of Haemo-Master®, a Blood Volume Monitoring (BVM) technology, which may lead to improved hemodynamic stability in some patients.
“With the DBB-06, we saw an opportunity to use a machine that has been tried-and-tested around the world. Furthermore, the small footprint of the DBB-06 allowed us to maximize the limited space we have at Central Park. With the outstanding support provided by the Nikkiso America team, installation and use of the machine became a seamless process,”
J. Ganesh Bhat M.D., medical director of ADMS.
Nikkiso is a pioneer in blood purification products. For more than half a century, Nikkiso has addressed the needs of caregivers while focusing on improving treatment outcomes for the patients who use these therapies.
“Our objective is to provide an optimum therapy for patients with our exceptional dialysis system with ease of use that allows the care provider more time with the patient, excellent reliability and low maintenance requirements and no additional consumable costs with the use of the BVM option. We aim to set the bench-mark for education and support and ensure that customers have a consistent experience with our products,”
Thomas D. Kelly, CEO for Nikkiso’s Medical business in the EMEA, North and South America, Australia and New Zealand markets.
Richard Tagliagambe, director of purchasing for ADMS, commented, “Nikkiso showed our group at ADMS a machine that offers a unique feature, Haemo-Master Blood Volume Monitoring, to enhance our patient treatments without additional costs.”
“In addition, we interfaced the DBB-06 Dialysis System with the ADMS clinical management system, which supported their current paperless charting system.”
Nicholas Staub, director of sales for Nikkiso America.
